BFPA is using Cookbook Publishers create a cookbook for our fall/winter 2020 Fundraiser. Please help support this effort to raise some much needed money to help our 4-legged friends!

You can submit recipes using our Cookbook Creator, email your recipe to bfpacontributor@gmail.com (typed recipe, scanned copy, or other image), or mail it to Carmen Quinn, 419 College St. Oxford NC 27565. For general questions, use this email – bfpacontributor@gmail.com or call Carmen 919-612-4364

To submit recipes using our Cookbook Creator, follow these steps.

1.Click on our Cookbook Creator – https://mycookbookcreator.com/login

a. Member sign in email – bfpacontributor@gmail.com (generic log in for recipe contributors)

b. Password – bfpa2020

NOTE: PLEASE LOGOUT ONCE YOU ARE DONE AS MULTIPLE USERS CANNOT BE LOGGED IN AT THE SAME TIME.

2. On the Dashboard, click Add a Recipe

3. Add a Recipe

a. Recipe Information

i. Icon (optional) – If you want to add an Icon (icons are – diabetic, quick & easy, freezes well, heirloom, international, kid’s recipes, pets, cancer ribbon, slow cooker), click on the “Choose the Recipe Icon” tab on the right hand side of your screen. Hover your mouse on the recipe icons to see a description of the icon

ii. Status (optional) – drop down menu; select “Approved – recipe will appear in the book”. Default is “Data Entry – enter data for Recipe” but clicking approved will make sure your recipe doesn’t get missed!

iii. Category (required) – select from one of these categories

      • Appetizers, Beverages
      • Soups, Salads
      • Side Dishes
      • Main Dishes
      • Breads, Rolls
      • Desserts
      • Miscellaneous – the perfect category for pet treats, relishes, dressings, etc.

iv. Title – name your recipe! Recipes will appear in the book alphabetically. We are not using Sub-Titles so leave this blank.

b. Recipe Contributors (not required but we ask you put your name so your recipe will appear under the contributor index)

i. First Name

ii. Last Name

iii. Contributor Information and Additional Contributor Information – do not use

iv. Change Order – for chairperson and final proofing do not use

c. Recipe Parts

i. Ingredients List – will list ingredients

ii. Recipe Method – will list how you use the ingredients

iii. Title to ingredients list – if you want to have multiple ingredients list, for example if you have a list for a cake and a list for the icing and you want the ingredients to show separately

iv. Add a Note? – You can click to add a special note to your recipes. Notes may be things like “This recipe has been handed down in my family for 3 generations” or “You can double the recipe and freeze half to enjoy later”

4. Preview (and PROOF) your recipe. Make sure you proof your recipe. The fundraising committee will not be reviewing recipes submitted so any spelling errors or ingredient omissions will be printed like they are submitted. If you find an error, you can make changes before you save and submit.

5. Click Save and ADD ANOTHER or Click SAVE

6. Modify a recipe. Recipe submitters do not have the ability to modify a recipe once it has been saved so make sure you preview your recipe! If you need to make changes, email bfpacontributor@gmail.com. Carmen will be monitoring this email address and respond to any questions. You can also call 919-612-4364.
