Mercedes (on the right, renamed Ember) is one of our “Junkyard Puppies” litter (Bentley, Blazer, Ford, Prius, Royce, Wrangler). One of our volunteers near the Outer Banks was approached by a client who had found these puppies in his yard (which basically resembled a junkyard–hence the name) and asked for help. She was adopted by repeat adopters Robert and Sue, their daughter Kaylee and their other dog, Charlie, all of Raleigh. (The first dog they adopted from BFPA was Stitch, in 2002, deceased.)
