Astaire, on left, received his name because he was quite the dancer in his kennel at the shelter. He was found as a stray and never reclaimed. He was renamed Walter and adopted by Penny (pictured) and Jon of Lillington

Mickey is a handsome senior who came to us from the Wake County Shelter. He has been adopted by Mike of Cary.

Emmy, renamed Gypsy was found as a stray and taken to Granville County Shelter where she was never reclaimed. She has been adopted by Amber and her family of Apex.

Duncan, on the right was surrendered to Granville county shelter after being part of a bitter divorce. He has been adopted by Nanette & Jeff of Raleigh, and their other dog, Bruno.

The adorable Jali (renamed Indy) was surrendered to Granville County shelter because she "played too rough". Adopted by Melanie (pictured) and Andre of Raleigh.

Bosco, on left, was found as a stray in Wake County and never reclaimed. Adopted by repeat BFPA adopters Andrew and Travis of Cary. Their other dog is the beautiful Zelda.

Molly and her two puppies, Finley and George found themselves at the Tyrrell County shelter after their owner became seriously ill. Finley has been adopted by Tammy of Raleigh.

Yury is an overbred shihtzu that almost lost her life had it not been for a rescue volunteer who reached out for help. This little girl was brought to a local vet in Sandford after going more than 24 hours

Oreo, renamed Teddy, came to BFPA because his owner passed away. He has been adopted by Phyllis of Raleigh
