Benny & Blu are a bonded pair whose owner was no longer able to care for them. Luckily for these two, they were able to stay together and were adopted by Kristen & Tom of Durham.

Byrd (on right) was an owner surrender to Wake County with another dog as his person fell on hard times. Byrd was rescue only due to the large mass on his hind area which BFPA was able to have removed.

Hallie came to us from a full Caswell County where her time was up. Renamed Birdie, she has been adopted by Katherine of Asheboro.

A close BFPA friend and volunteer had seen Cosmo roaming for a few weeks and could tell she was nursing. She was finally able to catch Cosmo her two puppies, Ridge and Jerden and get them safely into BFPA foster

Our "Mayberry Litter" (Andy Taylor, Opie Taylor, Barney Fife, Aunt Bee, Gomer Pyle, and Otis) came from the Mt. Airy area because they were an unwanted litter of Newfoundland mixes. Gomer, renamed Gumball, lives in Mebane with Tracy (pictured) and

Owen Wilson and his brother, Luke, were stray puppies brought into the Tyrrell County shelter. Renamed Hank, he has been adopted by Kyle of Raleigh.

Cindy is a stray from Granville County. Renamed Stella, she now lives with Kasey in Morrisville.

Our lab puppies (Amelie, Bolt, Bree, Christian, Gabby, Gabe, Hazel, Scooby, Willow) were an unwanted litter from a farm in Angier. BFPA agreed to take the puppies and have mom & dad altered. Willow (on right), is now called Athena.

Starla (on left) was found as a stray. Shortened to Star, she has a wonderful home in Apex with Rick & Barb and their other 2 Pit Bull/Am. Staff Terrier mixes: Biscuit (pictured) and Precious (wandered away from photo shoot).

Cole was scheduled to be euthanized for space at the Caswell County Shelter. BFPA was able to save him, and he now calls Holly Springs home with Amy, Greg, and their two daughters.
